Recycling Trees has many benefits

Recycling trees and products can be fun but do you know that trees are 100% recyclable. Yes that is right! From the root ball to the top of the tree, everything in between can be used.

Once the trees have been cut down, the leaves and branches are chipped and stock piled in a yard. Most importantly, the mulch is used for parks, gardens and schools. Timber from the trunk is also used to make lots and lots of different items. Here are more reasons why recycling trees is beneficial:-

These are a few reasons why mulch is great for gardens:

  1. Firstly, water conservation. The layers of mulch in gardens protects the soil from drying out, therefore when watering your garden, you won’t need to use as much water
  2. Weeds, mulch prevents weeds from growing
  3. Mulch keeps the soil temperature constant.

The trunk of the tree has many uses:

  1. Fence posts, furniture, houses, decking’s, flooring’s, tables, benches and lots of construction are the main uses for the trunk wood of a tree.
  2. Paper provides us with books, magazines, newspapers, boxes, and food wrappers which is also made from trees.
  3. Animals find homes within the timber that is left in forests and these are called habitats.
  4. Some people use the timber for firewood and burn it to keep them warm in winter time.

Sap is a liquid that flows through a tree and most likely used for:-

  1. Maple syrup
  2. Chewing gum
  3. Crayons
  4. Paint
  5. Soap

We can use the Oils from the leaves and roots in many ways and they are most certainly good for:-

  1. Cosmetic
  2. Essential Oils
  3. Healing purposes

Some uses for the bark off the tree trunk are:-

  1. Cloths
  2. Canoes
  3. Ropes

Mulch spread around a garden
Recycled Timber to build a house
